Judah and the Lion Visit the House of Blues in San Diego
Let’s start off by saying this, if Judah and the Lion are playing a show near you, do whatever you can to make it to the show. These guys know how to play a live set, just being able to put on a performance that anyone can appreciate is a rarity these days. You know there is that feeling you get when you see a band and their live show is better than the album. This only has happened with a few acts that I personally think are better live than their albums. Judah and the Lion are certainly one of them. Their stage presence is incredible, the energy that emits as they play can be felt around you as the entire crowd moves to the music. Judah and the Lion has been one of the best shows I’ve seen in the quite some time.
It is great to see a packed out venue and the House of Blues were full, with of all types. Once the guys edged closer to the end of their set a familiar sound came hallowing out the speakers, their hit Suit and Jacket the crowd, in its entirety began chanting the lyrics with the band and dancing to the song that speaks directly to those living and following a passion. I remember hearing their single Take it all back a year ago and was instantly drawn into their unique sound. When you are watching their show, and listening to the lyrics and music you can tell that these guys have a true passion and absolutely love what they do. They are a humble group of guys that truly love the art of music and it shows when they are on stage. If you haven’t heard of Judah and the Lion, I am sure you will in the future for they are on their way to the top.
