Anyone who has an infinity with 90’s Brit Pop will be drawn to Smoke Rings. The Melbourne five piece possess all the right virtues that should see them becoming one of Australia’s premiere acts in the near future. Right from the first listen Happiness hits you with nostalgia, the writing of incredibly well-constructed melodies tease your senses with familiar sounds. But, they’ve made this their own and soon enough the chorus of Happiness will be entrenched in your mind.

With minimal effort and a spark of creativeness Smoke Rings have cultivated a music video worth of the song. In simple black and white styling, the use of lighting is what makes this great. The band has created a music video that they or anybody will look back on in time and think that was symbolic of the era. Smoke Rings will surface Happiness on the live stage when the band supports Siamese in Adelaide and formidable electric lady Ali Barter in September/October.
