Multi-instrumentalist Jack River is back at it again. Coming off last year’s Highway Songs No.2, Jack, aka Holly Rankin, recently released the next track in her arsenal, Fool’s Gold along with a mystical music video. Compared to her previous releases, Fool’s Gold brings a more washed out psych feel similar to that of an old Mazzy Star track.

With lo-fi elements, the music video for Fools Gold illustrates themes of emotional pain and emptiness. From burning roses to men painted gold, the video is certainly one you should sit back for the entirety of. Be sure to catch Jack River front the Electric Lady shows starting this weekend as she leads an all-girl electric show. Who knows, maybe she’ll even burn a rose or two.
