Music has a diverse purpose. It brings sadness, happiness, and anger, all while holding a cathartic nature in our emotional state. Beyond emotive music comes political music, created with hopes to make a change. The restricting nature of our society can both bring us down and inspire us to accomplish amazing feats. Phillipino-born and Swedish-based LUHA is inspired by the state of the world. With only 2 singles under her belt, she already holds the key to success. Her dark and powerful electronically-driven sound is bound to cause a stir. We love her latest, SHE.

Bursting at the gates with energy, SHE starts off with a dark driving beat to set the tone of the track. LUHA’s haunting voice quickly enters with the poetic story of a woman scorned. She has her sinister plan for the one who has taken her kindness and tossed it aside. As the track builds, the words of a powerful entity take hold of LUHA, bringing true meaning to “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” As the peak of the song hits, one can easily picture a woman on a mountain top. The earth moves around her, storm brewing, wind blowing, as the ones who’ve scorned her feel her wrath. While this may be a dramatic depiction, the song has plenty of drama for the imagination.

SHE speaks to the power of a woman. The track is dark, yet has an uplifting nature. It speaks to anyone who has reached the breaking point of finally saying No more. We loved this track and can’t wait to see what else LUHA has up her sleeve.
