Smooth and straightforward in introduction this track is generous and true to the style of Kora. This track progresses steadily using long synth sounds in punctuating the build up of the track. with a pulsating melody introduced subtly in the initial stages, it continues to run in the background with an almost timpani like percussive sound in the back.

The track successfully blends melodic and percussive aspects in what is arguably a stimulating concoction of sound. The definitive build up of the track is marked by the introduction of a deep, rather spacious voice sample that generates the air of a meditative state of mind, almost chant like but brief. It marks the introduction of various chime-like and rolling snare beats that draw from a what could arguably be a strong sense of native and or southern influence of sound. Tech influences are prevalent in this track. Adding the bouncy percussive elements that keep the track exciting with smooth hi hats that roll away opening up for the drop.

Beats dropping with the bass kick somewhat dropping a tone lower after the prominent build ups the track is true to its dance origins. However, the textures of the intensively layered sounds paint a stimulating landscape. Like a soundtrack for a journey through time and space Caddo keeps it close to home with the style kora has created. However, this track is likely to be a harbinger of things to come. In the artist’s new collaborative EP which exhibits progressive behaviour alongside the sustained beats that are dying to be danced to.
