France’s most world renown electronic music act Daft Punk has just turned heads from all corners of creativity with the announcement of the duo’s first ever pop-up effort, that will take place next week in Los Angeles. As mentioned, the pop-up experience will be held in the sunny City of Angels, at a unique architectural space created by lifestyle and fashion concept store MAXFIELD in West Hollywood’s Melrose Ave.
According to the band, the pop-up shop will double as mini-museum with “a retrospective of archival set pieces, props, wardrobe, artwork, photography, and robot helmets on display for the first time.” Yes, even robot helmets. While a Daft Punk pop-up shop is good enough as is, the event takes things to a new level by bringing on a number of fashion’s most coveted labels to offer limited edition apparel and accessories at the space. This includes Gosha Rubchinskiy, OFF-WHITE, Enfants Riches Deprimes, Han Cholo, Darkdron and Hervet Manufacturier. The space will also house special edition products from Daft Punk’s official merchandise account, sold only at the pop-up
Obviously a must-go event for any DP fan, as well as anyone looking for that limited edition goods from the range of featured fashion imprints, so make sure you stop by 8818 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood CA 90069 between Sunday 11 Feb and Sunday 19 Feb before everything disappears. Unfortunately for the East Coast fashion crew, all but two days of the pop-up coincide with New York Fashion Week. However, the event is meant to celebrate the band’s performance alongside The Weeknd at the Grammys on February 12th.
